What is Tradestation?
Tradestation is a platform that lets you trade crypto, commission-free stocks, ETFs, Options, and Futures. It lets you buy and sell currencies like BTC, ETH, MATIC, SHIB, USDC, and several others. The Future contracts let you buy/sell commodities like crude oil and gold, and other assets like indices, bonds and Euro.
Introduction
It is a trading platform that lets users buy, sell, and trade crypto. Along with the intuitive platform, it also offers a set of tools that let you analyze your crypto trading position. It claims to provide the following features:
- Analyze prices in real time
- Point and shoot interface to quickly place orders
- Provides dynamic limit processes that let users participate in bid offers.
- Provides the option to place orders via an order form.
- Customize your order, price, and expiration date.
- Provides multiple liquidity providers that let you choose from the best bid and ask prices.

Log In for the First Time
The first-time login into the TradeStation Crypto platform is via two-factor authentication (2FA), which is performed with the help of the Auth0 Guardian app on your mobile. It is for this reason that you are requested to first download this app on your phone before you proceed to log in.
How to do TradeStation Crypto Login?
- Open the browser on your workstation and enter the URL: www.crypto.tradestation.com.
- On the window that opens, press the Click to Launch button.
- This shows the tradestation login page. If you already have the username and password for the platform, enter them and click Log In. You are now logged in to the platform.
- If you are logging in for the first time, download the Auth0 Guardian app (as was mentioned earlier) on your phone. When you are prompted to download it on the platform, press I’ve already downloaded it.
5. Open the Auth0 Guardian app and allow it to record videos and take pictures by pressing OK.
6. On your workstation, you are shown a QR code. On the Auth0 app on your mobile, scan this QR code .
7. This will generate a Recovery Code on your Crypto platform. Copy this code and paste it to some safe place. Once you have done that, check the “I have safely recorded this code” box. Once you check this box, the bottom pane with the “>” symbol changes colour. Click this symbol.
8. The platform shows you the “Congratulations” message. Click Continue.
9. This sends a push notification request to your mobile. If you do not receive it, open the Auth0 Guardian app again and copy the 6-digit code that appears on the screen. Paste it on your platform by clicking enter the code option.
10. On successful 2FA verification, you are shown the following message on the platform:
11. Now that you have been verified using your mobile device, you need to login into the platform as you did in the second step. Enter your Username and Password and click Log In. The Guardian app generates the 6-digit code. Copy the code and paste it on your platform as you did earlier.

TradeStation Working Hours
The market hours for trading on Tradestation are between 9:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. EST. The pre-market hours lie between 8:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M EST.

It is fully owned by Monex Group, Inc. a Japanese online securities brokerage firm.
How to Close Tradestation Account?
Closing an Account at Tradestation is not a straightforward process. It can be done wither of these ways:
- The first way to close your platform account is via ACAT (Automated Customer Account Transfer). To use this method, instead of deleting your account, you need to transfer your assets to some other brokerage. This is done by filling an account closure form at the brokerage firm that you have chosen. This new firm will transfer your request back to Tradestation, which will transfer your assets to the new firm and your account will get closed automatically post successful transfer. But there is a catch in this! For closing the account this way, Tradestation charges a $125 fee to the requester.
- The other way is better for those who do not want to pay any fee for account closure . All you have to do is to sell all your assets/securities to cash and then move the cash out of the platform. This is done via a Automated Clearing House (ACH). But there is a per day withdrawal limit of $50000. So if you have cash more than that, you can repeatedly cash out your amount. But if you want to withdraw the entire amount all at once, you need to do wire transfer your cash by paying a nominal fee of $25 for transferring within your country and $35 for transferring it anywhere else in the world.
